The biggest Smartphone Processor maker Company Qualcomm has launched its another powerful Processor for 5G smartphones which is known as Snapdragon 855, in a launch event organised in Hawaii.
The Snapdragon 855 processor is built on 7nm technology and it is the world’s first mobile platform supporting 5G.
The processor is capable of handling high-end Graphics, AI features, 5G speeds and lot more which we will be discussing here.
In 2019, it will be used to power premium Android Devices like Samsung galaxy S10 series, OnePlus And some Flagship phone of Xiaomi.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Specs
This Beast, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is a 7nm octa-core processor which is designed in three parts, its four small cores are based on Cortex A55 design which is clocked at 1.8GHz for power-efficient performance, three Cortex A55 cores and one Big prime core based on A76 design, and these cores have architecture of 64bit for peak high performance, which is clocked at 2.84GHz speed.
The Snapdragon 855 speed is upto 45% faster than Snapdragon 845 processor.
Snapdragon 855 processor GPU is powered by Adreno 640, which is said to be 20% faster than its predecessor Snapdragon 845, Its GPU is capable of playing Volumetric VR video playback, and 8K 360 VR video playback, and can handle high-end 3D games easily.
